SuperStars Acting & Storytelling
GRADES K-3 (5 - 9 years old) 10 Wednesday rehearsals starting January 19, 2022 Time: 5:00 - 5:50pm Students will learn acting, clear speaking, storytelling and fun group drama games from acting instructor, Philip Kittiver. Students will perform each week based on a known book or fairy tale where kids will have an opportunity to speak in character and act out emotions from the story. YAS - Youth Actor's Studio
GRADES 4-9 (9 - 16 years old) This session actors will produce a play Kim Arthur and the Nerds of the Round Table by Daniel Guyton A Comedy for Young Actors A book-smart girl removes the mysterious "Motherboard in the Stone" and becomes queen of Game-A-Lot, where she and her fellow nerds must invent the greatest video game of all time to save their beloved arcade in this spoof of the King Arthur legend. 10 Wednesday rehearsals starting January 19, 2022 Times:: 6:00 - 8:00pm Performances on March 25 and 26 Students enrolled in this acting program will have an opportunity to perform multiple roles, act using improv skills, develop creative storytelling techniques, refine acting methods, and a chance to perform a play chosen by the director. They will be directed under the instruction of Philip Kittiver, a well known area actor, director and playwright. The workshop challenges performers of all experience levels. . $275 per student |
The mission of the Youth Actor’s Studio is to build self-esteem within the student artist by learning the craft of acting. It strives to be a fun place for creative kids to improvise, act, write, learn new games and tell stories.
